While sitting as a Judge in Port Angeles, Judge Gary Velie was charged with misconduct by the Judicial Commission, some of which is listed below.
 
In letter to the judicial commission, Gary admitted to the use of racist and sexist language and embarrassing jokes, and ex parte communications.
 
Gary appeared before the commission and expressed a positive attitude and willingness to take corrective action regarding his offensive conduct. Based on Gary’s comments and promise to be a good boy (I promise I’ll be a good boy Mommy), the commission dismissed the complaint.
 
By giving Gary the judicially approved “slap on the wrist” these fools are responsible for the continued misconduct by the Dishonorable Gary Velie.
 
Racist/Demeaning Comments
 
Gary was found guilty of making the following racist and/or vile comments in chambers or the courthouse over the course of several years. These comments are part of the official transcript on file with the Washington Supreme Court.
  1. Told an attorney in open court and in front of two female staff members that, the attorney looked like he had been “jacking off a bobcat in a phone booth”
  2. During the Iraq war said, “Nuke the sand niggers”
  3. Said that a defendant “had gone crazy from sucking too many cocks”
  4. Called American-Indians “war-whoops”
  5. Called Mexican-Americans “beaners”
  6. Joked about a lawn sign that said, “No dogs or niggers shitting on the lawn”
  7. Referred to a lawyer as a “Jewish Mother”
Gary’s Laughable Defenses
  • Gary’s defenses to making the obscene comments above and engaging in unlawful ex parte communications are as follows:
  • The commission has no right to determine what constitutes “politically correct speech.”
  • The comments are constitutionally protected as Free Speech, Freedom of Assembly and Expression of Political Opinions.
I see Gary! Calling Arabs “sand niggers;” African-Americans “niggers;” Native Americans “war-whoops;” and Mexican-Americans “beaners,” is protected Free Speech. Now, this is one demented bastard, right?
 
Gary’s so-called punishment
 
The apologists for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Washington Supreme Court punished Gary by gifting him with a reprimand.
 
The Court also ordered Gary to cease and desist from making derogatory (racist) comments in the future.
 
He was also ordered to attend ethics courses at the National Judicial College in Reno. In the alternative, Gary could have, if he wished, taken a remedial ethics class at the Huey Long School of Ethics in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
 
It is just absolutely amazing how losers like Gary are allowed to don a robe and sit in judgment of anyone.
