Attorney William McKibbin of Minneapolis; ethical gremlin

The state of Minnesota presented William Henry McKibbin with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from William Mitchell College School of Law.

The Office of Lawyer Regulation found Billy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to properly supervise disbarred attorney he hired
  • Allowed disbarred attorney to handle client funds
  • Assisted disbarred attorney to engage in illegal practice of law
  • Failed to place client funds in designated trust account
  • Failed to produce account of client funds to client
  • Failed to maintain receipts for cash payments received from clients

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed costs of $900.00.

As we speak (ca. April 2019), Billy practices at 400 East Lake Street in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
