Attorney Scott Swanson of St. Paul, MN; ethical gnome

The state of Minnesota presented Scott William Swanson with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from St. Louis University  School of Law.

The Office of Lawyer Regulation found Scottie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to pursue client matter
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed to return client file after being terminated
  • Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Scottie!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Scottie by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license and assessed costs of $900.00.

As we speak (ca. April 2019), Scottie practices with Scott Swanson Law at 332 Minnesota Street in St. Paul, Minnesota.

As one would suspect, Scottie fails to mention said misconduct on his self-serving website at www.scottswansonlaw.com. Apparently, Scottie decided to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients so as to not limit his future victim pool.
