Attorney Darren Winegarden of Saskatchewan, CAN; ethical gnome

The Law Society of Saskatchewan presented Darren Winegarden with a law license in 1997after he graduated from the University of Saskatchewan School of Law.

The Law Society of Saskatchewan Disciplinary Committee found Darren guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in conduct unbecoming an officer of the court (Pray tell!)
• Accepted  trust  funds  (retainers)  from  certain  clients  and  failed  to  deposit  said  trust funds  into  a  mixed-trust  account  in  accordance  with  Law  Society Rules
• Failed to  maintain  proper  books  and  records  in  accordance  with  Law  Society Rules
• Failed to properly safeguard client funds

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Upper Law Society Committee punished Darren by gifting him a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license and assessed costs of $3,999.00.   

As we speak (ca. April 2019), Darren practices at 203 Packham Avenue in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.
