Attorney James Burd of Greenwood, NY; ethical goblin

The state of New York presented James P. Burd with a law license in 1982 after he graduated from the State University of New York (SUNY) Buffalo School of Law.

The Judicial Department Committee on Professional Standards found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

• Commingled client funds with personal funds
• Failed to maintain client funds in special account
• Failed to promptly pay or deliver to client funds owing to the client
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice law

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Professional Standards Committee punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary censure.  

As we speak (ca. August 2019), Jimmy practices with James P. Burd PC at 2609 Main Street in Greenwood, New York.
