Judge Theresa Brennan of Brighton, MI; ethical goblin

The state of Michigan provided provided Theresa M. Brennan a law license in 1982 after she graduated from the the Thomas M. Cooley School of Law.

FYI: Cooley considered to be one of the worst if not the worst law school in the country. It is dedicated to taking in losers that could not get accepted into law schools such as the University of Michigan, Michigan State or the University of Detroit. Evidence of Cooley’s bottom ranking is the fact that former Donald Trump fixer and consigliere Michael Cohen is a graduate of Cooley.

The Michigan Judicial Tenure Commission found Terry guilty of the following misconduct.

• Misused her judicial office for personal gain
• Failed to maintain high standards of conduct
• Failed to respect and follow the law
• Engaged in an affair with a State Police detective who was the lead investigator in a murder trial that Terry was overseeing
• Allowed social and other relationships to influence her conduct or judgment
• Used her office to advance her personal business interests
• Failed to be patient, dignified and courteous to lawyers and others appearing before her

The Chief Justice of the Michigan Supreme Court, Miriam Cavanaugh ordered that Terry be removed from hearing any cases and suspended her from the bench with full pay and benefits. Put simply, Terry will continue to be paid $2,654.00 a week while she is in truth on a paid vacation. I wonder if lesser government folks in Michigan are treated in this manner. To ask the question is to answer it, meaning of course not.
