Justice Karen Baker of Arkansas; enabler for Judicial Misfits

Karen Baker was presented with a law license by the Arkansas Supreme Court in 1987 after she graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Law.
Justice Karen Baker has dedicated the vast majority of her legal career porking out at the public trough. From 1995 to 2011 she has been a District Court Judge, Appellate Judge and Supreme Court Justice.
In 2011, the misconduct case of Judge L.T. Simes of Helena came before the Supreme Court. The Judicial Discipline and Disability Commission recommended that the Supreme Court remove Judge Simes from the bench.
Judge Simes was found guilty of abusing his office by holding a hearing to punish a lawyer who had asked him to remove himself from a case.
To make sure there would never be any question that she is a certified apologist for Judicial Misfits, Justice Baker had the chutzpah to dissent in finding Simes guilty of abusing his office by holding said hearing.
Justice Baker had the audacity to rule that she believed Judge Simes “had done no wrong” in hold such a hearing.
With allies like Justice Baker, Judicial Misfits like Judge T.L. Simes have absolutely nothing to fear for engaging in egregious misconduct.
