Attorney Douglas Allen Jr. of Colorado Springs; ethical gremlin

The state of Colorado presented Douglas P. Allen Jr. with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from the University of Arkansas School of Law.

Disciplinary Counsel found Doug guilty of the following misconduct

• Disclosed confidential client information
• Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
• Failed to abide by the client’s decisions concerning the objectives of a case and consult with the client regarding the means to achieve the objectives
• Failed to consult with client prior to making demand on insurer for settlement

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Appeals Court punished Doug by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 60-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak, (ca. April 2019), Doug practices with the Allen Law Firm LLC at 6948 McEwan Street in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
