The state of Arizona presented Robert C. Standage with a law license in 2001 after he graduated from Texas Southern University School of Law.

The Arizona State Bar found Bobby guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• While under a contract with the Gila County Superior Court to represent an indigent female criminal defendant, Bobby and the client exchanged sexually explicit text messages, photographs, and videos
• Motivated by selfish or dishonest motive
• Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
• While representing another female client in a dependency action, Bobby, at her suggestion, posted her bond arising from a misdemeanor criminal warrant in exchange for oral sex
• Paid a child support contempt order for a former client’s girlfriend, who promised “to make it worth his while,” and after making the payment she performed a strip tease for him and had sex with him
• Victim of misconduct was vulnerable
• Misconduct involved multiple offenses
• For several years, Bobby engaged in sexual activities in massage parlors and paid prostitutes for sex

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license and ordered to pay $1,985.40 for the costs of the ethics proceedings.
