Attorney Bruce Downing of Winchester, VA; moronic slacker

The state of Virginia presented Bruce Edward Downing with a law license in 1976 after he graduated from the University of Richmond School of Law.

The Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board found Bruce guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to comply with client information requests
• Failed to safeguard client funds
• Failed to terminate or decline representation when required
• Failed to complete inventory in estate matter
• Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
• Failed to inform client of facts that may significantly affect settlement or resolution of client matter

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Virginia Bar Disciplinary Board punished Bruce by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. April 2019), Bruce practices in Winchester, Virginia.
