Attorney Alisa Correa of Lake Ridge, VA; ethical goblin

The state of Virginia presented Alisa Lachow Correa with a law license in 2003 after she graduated from the University of Richmond School of Law.

The Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board found Chris guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to safeguard client funds
• Failed to maintain complete records of all client funds, securities and other property coming into her possession
• Failed to render appropriate accountings to client regarding client property
• Failed to maintain cash receipts and disbursement journals for each client
• Failed to maintain subsidiary ledger containing separate entries for each client
• Failed to maintain all client financial records for five years after termination of representation
• Failed to perform required quarterly reconciliations of client trust accounts

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Virginia Bar Disciplinary Board punished Alisa by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. November 2019), Alisa practices in Winchester, Virginia.
