Attorney Kay Luethke of Kingsport, TN; slacker, loser

The state of Virginia presented Key Jeffrey Luethke with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from the University of Richmond Law School.

The Tenth District, Section II Subcommittee found Jeff guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to decline/terminate representation when required to so act
• Failed to advise client of dismissal of his lawsuit
• Failed to file amended complaint within 21 days on client’s behalf as ordered by the trial court to do
• Failed to promptly return client file after termination
• Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
• Failed to explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Virginia Bar Disciplinary Board punished Jeff by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. March 2019), Jeff practices at 121 West Market Street in Kingsport, Tennessee.
