Judge Justice Parker of London, England; sleeping loser

The Law Society presented Judge Parker with a law license in 1973 after she graduated from the University of Oxford School of Law.

The Judicial Conduct Investigations Office found Judge Parker guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Judge Parker fell asleep during a hearing.
  • Had potential to undermine public confidence in the judiciary

As a direct consequence of his misconduct Lord Chancellor and the Lord Chief Justice, acting as enablers for Judicial Misfits punished Judge Parker by gifting her with a complimentary letter of “formal advice.” Whew, I bet that really hurts, right?

In a lame attempt at levity, the Lord Chancellor and the Lord Chief Justice gave credit to Sleeping Parker by laughing stating that she only fell asleep for a short period of time. Isn’t that just special? Of course who knows if the Sleeper missed an important part of the ongoing family court proceedings.

As we speak (ca. March 2016) Judge practices continues to sit as a judge on the Family Division of the High Court of Justice in the Basildon Magistrate’s court in London, England.
