Judge Glenn Toney of Birmingham, England; ethical gnome

The Judicial Conduct Investigations Office found Glenn guilty of the following misconduct.

• Used status as magistrate judge in letter sent to influence a decision of a company to benefit his partner, an ex-employee of said company
• Knowingly and intentionally abused his position as a magistrate judge
• Conduct fell below the standards expected of a judicial office holder

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the Lord Chief Justice punished Glenn by gifting him with a complimentary issuance of formal advice, which I understand can by fairly painful.

As we speak (ca. March 2016) Isaac continues to work as a Justice of the Peace for the Black Country Local Justice area in Birmingham, England.
