Judge Louis Sceusi of Morristown, NJ; ethical gnome

The state New Jersey presented Louis S. Sceusi with a law license in 1976 after he graduated from Syracuse University School of Law.  

Former Gov. Chris Christie was duped into nominating Louie as Superior Court judge in 2012.  Louie didn’t get the nomination because he was the most qualified attorney in the greater Morristown area. He got it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

The Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct found Louie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Violated rules prohibiting engaging in political activity
• Improperly endorsed his wife for Republican County Committeewoman in a contested race

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct punished Louie by gifting him with a complimentary admonishment.

As we speak (ca. March 2019), Louie continues to sit as Vicinage 5 Superior Court Judge in Morristown, New Jersey.
