Attorney James Deans of Salt Lake City; check bouncing loser

The state of Utah presented James H. Deans  with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from the University of Utah School of Law.

The Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme Court found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to safeguard client property
• Wrote at least two checks on insufficient funds account (rubber)
• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Jimmy!)
• Failed to have proper accounting procedures in place

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished Joey by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
