Today’s “Bullshit” Award Winner
During the January 19 presidential debate in Charleston, South Carolina, Newt decided to again establish his bona fides as one of America’s Most Accomplished Serial Bullshitters.
At the opening of the debate, CNN moderator John King asked Newt to respond to his ex-wife’s (No. 2 of 3) claim that he asked that she agree to an “open marriage.” She stated that Newt’s idea of an “open marriage” was for her to agree to allow him to continue with his illicit affair with a congressional staff member (aka, screwing the help) while they remained married.
In responding, Newt had the chutzpah to proclaim that he was “outraged” and “appalled” that such a subject would even be addressed at a presidential debate. How in the hell is it remotely possible for a “serial philanderer,” a “die-in-the-wool hypocrite, and an ethical leprechaun to claim outrage when his admitted infidelity is questioned?
Newt feigning outrage for being so queried is akin to Lindsay Lohan claiming she was “outraged” when the media referred to her as a “serial substance abuser.”
When I watched Newt’s bullshit response to John King, I actually thought I mistakenly tuned into the Comedy Channel.
In the event that Newt doesn’t secure the Republican presidential nomination, he should be able to earn a comfortable living as a standup comedian. And if that doesn’t pan out, he could be a paid spokesperson for Dr. James Dobson’s Focus on the Family, right?.
Congrats Newt; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of America’s most accomplished Bullshitters; you are far too humble.
