Attorney Todd Barson of Breckenridge, CO; ethical elf  

The state of Colorado provided Todd H. Barson with a law license in 1971 after he graduated from the University of Colorado Law School.

The Presiding Disciplinary Judge found Todd guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to maintain required trust account records
• After leaving government employment, failed to investigate the rules governing how to properly set up a trust account and account for client funds
• Commingled client funds with personal funds

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Todd by gifting him, with a complimentary stayed 6-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Todd.
