Attorney Robin Verhoeven of Hillsborough, NC; cheating slacker

The state of North Carolina provided Robin Verhoeven with a law license in 2000 after she graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Robbin guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Robin!)
  • Failed to file personal injury action on client’s behalf prior to statute of limitations tolling
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed to settle client’s personal injury case prior to it being time barred
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to properly serve motion to modify child support on client’s behalf on opposing counsel
  • Provided accounting of alleged fee charges that contained misrepresentations (false claims)
  • Failed to inform client of upcoming court-scheduled hearing date

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the North Carolina Supreme Court punished Robin by gifting her with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. December 2018), Robin practices at 5302 Riley’s Ridge Road in Hillsborough, North Carolina.
