Attorney Anthony Deruiz of Kenmore, WA; thieving slacker

The state of Washington presented Anthony Paul Deruiz with a law license in 1995 after he graduated from Gonzaga University School of Law.

The Washington State Bar found Tony guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators, (Screw you, said Tony!)
• Failed to communicate with his client
• Failed to refund unreasonable and unearned fees (thief)
• Neglected client cases over the course of three years
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
• Failed to explain matter to allow client to make informed decisions re: representation
• Failed to protect client’s interest upon termination
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington Supreme Court punished Tony by gifting him with a complimentary 12-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. January 2019), Tony practices at 15805 75^th Avenue NW in Kenmore, Washington.
