Court Commissioner Leonid Ponomarchuk of Seattle; moronic loser

The state of Washington presented Leonid Ponomarchuk  with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from Gonzaga University School of Law..

Leonid was appointed by Judge Bobbe Bridge to be a commissioner in August 1998. Leonid didn’t get the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in the greater Seattle area. He got it because he had proven to be  reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

The Washington Commission on Judicial Conduct found Leonid guilty of the following misconduct, some of which related to his Facebook posts as set forth below.

When faced with a so-called dilemma wherein the DA asked that a defendant be jailed because he had missed prior court dates and defense counsel’s request to not so act because the defendant would miss an important doctor’s appointment.

Judge Ponomarchuk the Moron then ordered then made put forth the following oral orders in open court.

  • “I’m releasing him.”
  • “I want you to tattoo right now the next court date, in front of me.”

This caused the defendant to respond by saying, “Seriously!”

When Leonid’s Asinine and Idiotic comments were made public, his judicial superiors ordered that he be suspended from his commissioner’s duties for 15-days without pay.

In its admonishment order, the Judicial Commission stated  in part:

“Requiring a defendant to write or 'tattoo' his next court date on his arm in black ink was demeaning and humiliating… requiring the defendant to write on his body, and the reference to 'tattooing' is both inherently demeaning and carried connotations for some of tattooing of victims of the Holocaust.”

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Washington Supreme Court punished Leonid by gifting him with a complimentary admonishment.

As we speak (ca. May 2020), Leonid continues to sit as a King County Superior Court Commissioner in Seattle Washington.
