Attorney Paul Booth of Hilo, HI; slacker, loser

The state of California presented Paul Edwin Booth with a law license in 2006 after he graduated from the University of Akron School of Law, which is ranked 146^th out of 203 law schools nationwide.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel Bar found Paulie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to properly record deed with Bureau of Conveyances for over one year
• Failed to resolve decedent’s estate’s credit card debt with lender for over one and one-half years
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to respond to numerous client calls and emails
• Failed to comply with client information requests
• Failed to provide any accountings to joint clients
• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Paulie!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Hawaii Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 6-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Hawaii Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Johnny.
