Geary D. Cortes was presented with a law license by the California Supreme Court in 1977 after graduating from California Wester School of Law in San Diego.
From 1994 to 2003 Geary Cortes was a San Diego Superior Court Judge.
During his tenure on the bench, Cortes was arrested and jailed for causing corporal punishment to his wife Deborah.
Cortes subsequently pleaded guilty to one count of domestic violence and was sentenced to three years of probationf. He was also ordered to attend 52 sessions on donestic violence at the Mel Gibson Marital Bliss Foundation located in Hollywood.
Because Judicial Misfits are held to a lower standard of conduct then we are, the enablers sitting on the Calfiornia Judicial Commission never took any action against Geary the Wife Beater. However, the voters did what the Commission wouldn’t do when they voted this Louse out of office.

After the voters told Geary to take a hike, he decided to go into the mediation/arbitration business (aka, rent-a-judge).
