U.S. Judge Frederick Kapala: Illinois’ 2017 Double Dipping Porker of the Year Winner

The state of Illinois presented Edward J. Lodge with a law license in 1976 after he graduated from the University of Illinois School of Law.

In 2007 President George W. Bush was duped into appointing Freddy to a federal judgeship for the Northern District Court of Illinois.  Freddie didn’t get this appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in the greater Boise area. He got it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

It should be noted that Eddy has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for the for the past thirty-six years (ca. 1982-2018). Apparently, no self-respecting law firm in the greater Boise area was about to offer Eddie a good paying job.

In addition to his annual $208,000 salary, Freddy also collects an annual judicial pension from DC of approximately $184,000 for a total of $392,000.

As we speak (ca. July 2018), Gladys continues to sit as a retired Senior U.S. District Court Judge in Washington, DC.
