Attorney Elliott Tolan of Ardmore, PA; idiotic slacker

The state of Pennsylvania provided Elliott Tolan with a law license in 1968 after he graduated from Villanova University Law School.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Elliott guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to provide competent representation (Idiot)
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate basis and amount of fee to client
• Engaged in a conflict of interest
• Commingled client funds with personal funds
• Failed to deposit advance fees into trust account
• Instituted a cause of action he knew to be frivolous
• Failed to expedite client litigation
• Knowingly made a false statement of material fact to a tribunal
• Engaged in illegal practice of law in a unlicensed jurisdiction
• Violated or attempted to violate rules of professional responsibility, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so or did so through the acts of another

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Elliott by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. November 2018) Elliott practices in Ardmore, Pennsylvania.
