Attorney Gregory Willoughby of Ontario, CAN; idiot, serial offender

The Law Society of Upper Canada presented Gregory John Willoughby with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from the University of Ottawa Law School.

The Hearing Committee for the Law Society found Greg guilty of the following misconduct.

Greg’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Engaged in profession misconduct
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to timely file permanent residence applications for clients
  • Failed to respond to client update requests
  • Failed to be honest and candid when advising clients’ employer that their application for permanent residence status had been submitted to Citizenship and Immigration Canada when he knew it had not been submitted
  • Failed to conduct himself in such a way as to maintain the integrity of the profession
  • Altered client’s permanent residence status application fee by altering date on copy of bank draft
  • Forged client’s signatures and family members on their applications for permanent residence status

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Hearing Committee punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary 3-month suspension of his law license.

Because Attorney Misfits in Canada are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Greg was never criminally charged with forgery.

Greg’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Engaged in professional misconduct
  • Failed to submit the completed application for permanent residence status of his client O.M. to Citizenship and Immigration Canada as he had been instructed and agreed to do
  • Failed to properly supervise office staff

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Hearing Committee punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Greg’s 3rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to be honest and candid when advising his client
  • Engaged in professional misconduct
  • Failed to advise  that his and his wife's and son's applications for Canadian citizenship, which he said advised had been completed and submitted had been returned by Citizenship and Immigration Canada for being submitted 90-days late
  • Failed to provide competent representation (moron)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Hearing Committee punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary 3-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2018), Johnny practices at 435 Ridout Street North in London, Ontario, Canada.
