Attorney Stephen Cooper of Ontario, CAN; moronic loser
The Law Society of Upper Canada presented Stephen Alexander Cooper with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from the University of Toronto Law School.
The Hearing Committee for the Law Society found Stevie guilty of the following misconduct.
-
Failed to perform competent legal services (moron)
-
Failed to follow the instructions of client in a mortgage transaction
-
Failed to assume complete professional responsibility entrusted to him
-
Failed to directly supervise staff to whom particular tasks and functions were delegated
-
Engaged in unprofessional conduct
-
Delegating to his staff tasks that he was instructed by 1 client to perform personally
-
Failed to be honest and candid when advising 1 client
-
Misled [lied] to client to have him believe he had performed certain tasks personally, as instructed
-
Failed to maintain the integrity of the profession
-
Permitted his staff to sign his name on documents, including solemn declarations, as if that signature was his own
-
Allowed non-lawyer to forward to 2 clients documents relating to title transfers and mortgage transactions that had not personally reviewed
-
Acted for 2 clients in a real estate transaction involving the transfer of title to a property owned by both clients to 1 client alone, without full disclosure to and the consent of the other client
-
Failed to conduct himself in such a way as to maintain the integrity of the profession
-

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Hearing Committee punished Colin by gifting him with a complimentary 4-month suspension of his law license and ordered to pay costs of $7,000 to the Law Society.
As we speak (ca. November 2018), Stevie practices with the Law Office of Stephen Cooper at 21-467 Westney Road South in Ajax, Ontario, Canada.
