Solicitor Steven Brown of Scotland; ethical gremlin

The Law Society presented Steven Brown with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from the University of Edinburgh School of Law.

The Scottish Solicitors’ Discipline Tribunal found Stevie guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Stevie failed to advise his client about a conflict of interest, his acting for his client where there was a conflict of interest between him and his client in two respects namely a potential claim for damages for professional negligence and in relation to his personal interest in the purchase by him from his client and his failure to issue a terms of business letter as required by the ethics rules.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Discipline Tribunal punished Stevie by gifting him with a complimentary censure and a fine in the sum of £1500.

As we speak (ca. June 2018), Morgan practices with Harper Macleod LLP at 65 Haymarket Terrace in Edinburgh, Scotland.
