Solicitor Philip Dawson of Scotland; ethical goblin

The Law Society presented Philip George Dawson with a law license in 1977 after he graduated from the University of Glasgow School of Law.

The Scottish Solicitors’ Discipline Tribunal found Phil guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in professional misconduct
  • Failed to ascertain from clients that he had their instructions to prepare revocations of Welfare Powers of Attorney
  • Failed to explain to his clients the nature of the revocations which he had prepared for them and the consequential effect thereof

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Discipline Tribunal punished Phil by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. June 2018), Phil practices with James & George Collie LLP at 1 East Craibstone Street in Aberdeen, Scotland.
