Attorney James Wyre of Conway, AR; ethical leprechaun
The state of Arkansas presented James Otis Wyre with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from the University of Arkansas Law School.
The Committee on Professional found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.
-
Failed to provide notice to his clients with matters pending in the United States Bankruptcy Court
-
Failed to advise client he was turning over their files to the Bankruptcy Court
-
Knowingly made false statement of material fact to a tribunal
-
Failed to inform clients he would no longer represent them
-
Failed to file motions with Bankruptcy Court seeking permission to withdraw representation
-
Failed to take steps to protect client interests upon termination
-
Falsely lied to Judge Fussell he would no longer be practicing law
-
Failed to comply with court order (Up yours, said Jimmy!)
-
Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
-
Failed to appear at trial on client’s behalf
-
Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
As we speak (September 2018), Jimmy practices at 690 South Salem in Conway, Arkansas.
