Judge Louie Anderholt of El Centro, CA; greedy ingrate

The state of California presented Louie Brooks Anderholt with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from Western State University College of Law.

In one matter, Louie and a group of other greedy and ungrateful judges filed a lawsuit against the California Public Employee Pension Board for denying them superior pension benefits after the passing of the Pension Reform Act of 2013 (“PEPRA”).

Louie and his band of losers sought declaratory relief and a writ of mandate by contesting the applicability  of the 2013 Reform Act to them. Subsequently, the case went before the First District Court of Appeal, which affirmed the trial court’s ruling. In its ruling, the Appellate Court stated in part:

• “Judges who were  who were elected in 2012 but did not take office until Jan. 7, 2013, are not entitled to the retirement benefits in existence when they were elected but, rather, to the less desirable ones put in place by legislation that went into effect Jan. 1, 2013.”
• “Among other things, PEPRA increases employee contributions, provides for fluctuating contribution rates based on market performance and actuarial projections, and bases the amount of monthly pension payments on an employee’s final three years of compensation, rather than on only the final year.”

Despite the obvious fact that he wasn’t entitled to the past more generous pension benefits, Louie the Ingrate had the chutzpah to argue that he should be able to participate in the more generous Judges’ Retirements System II benefits in effect when they were chosen to be judges in 2012.

What Louie the Moron conveniently fails to appreciate is that there is a distinct difference between being selected to be a judge and actually becoming one when the oath of office is taken.
