Attorney Mary Moore of Chattanooga, TN; bullying liar

The state of Tennessee provided Mary Sullivan Moore with a law license in 1994 after she graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Law. 

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility found Mary guilty of the following misconduct, all of which took place while she was running for election as General Sessions Judge in Hamilton County. At the same time Mary was previously employed as District Attorney.

In one matter, Mary sent an email to opponent’s attorney and her campaign treasurer that stated:

• “I have much information that is so very hurtful to so many people, because of what I do for a living. Know that your campaign manager [an attorney] and his family and his partner and his family don't need to suffer simply because we put ourselves out there for election....The Nooga.com was instigated by you and Bob Moon [General Session Court Judge not running in this race] and we all know that.

Mary continued on with her email by making the following threats.

• “If you want your firm's [campaign manager's] reputation intact, I hope you will talk to your candidate.”
• “THIS IS NOT A THREAT AT ALL...My phones are taped, either by you or Bailes, [incumbent General Sessions Judge candidate] so call me with caution.”

It was ruled that Mary’s threats contained a false accusation of wire-tapping against a sitting judge. It’s amazing what a loser attorney will do in order to obtain a judgeship that pays two or three times more than she earned practicing her brand of law.

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Mary by gifting her with a complimentary censure.
