Attorney Cynthia Nicholson of Nashville, TN; slacker, serial offender

 

The state of Tennessee provided Cynthia Nicholson with a law license in 1994 after she graduated from the University of Memphis School of Law. 

 

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility found Cindy guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Cindy’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to appear in court on client’s behalf on three occasions
  • Failure to appear in court forced client to represent himself
  • Found in contempt of court for failure to appear
     
  • Neglected client’s legal matter
  • Failed to safeguard client’s retainer
  • Failed to deposit client funds into a trust account

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Cindy by gifting her with a complimentary 30-day suspension of her law license.

 

Cindy’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Engaged in illegal practice of law while license suspended

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Cindy by gifting her with a complimentary 60-day suspension of her law license.

 

Cindy’s 3rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Pose a substantial threat of irreparable harm to the public

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Cindy by gifting her with a complimentary temporary suspension of her law license.

 

Cindy’s 4th bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to prepare legal matters on behalf of her clients
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Neglected client legal matters

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Cindy by gifting her with a complimentary 6-month suspension of her law license.

 

As we speak (ca. October 2018) Cindy practices at 1161 Murfreesboro Pike in Nashville, Tennessee.
