Attorney Albert Officer III of Cookeville, TN; convicted druggie, serial offender

 

The state of Tennessee provided Albert Fitzpatrick Officer III with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from the University of Tennessee School of Law. 

 

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility found Al guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Al’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Neglected clients’ cases
  • Failed to communicate with clients
  • Convicted of possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia
  • Convicted of driving while impaired

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Al by gifting him with a complimentary 42-month suspension of his law license.

 

Al’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Trust account overdrawn on at least five (5) occasions
  • Used attorney’s trust account to pay personal expenses
  • Failed to safeguard client funds

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Al by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

 

Al’s 3rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Engaged in illegal practice of law while license suspended
  • Failed to pay annual attorney registration fee

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Al by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

 

Al’s 4th bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Posed a threat of substantial harm to the public

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Al by gifting him with a complimentary temporary suspension of his law license.

 

As we speak (ca. September 2018) Al practices at 9 South Jefferson Avenue in Cookeville, Tennessee.
