Attorney Richard Urda of Ithaca, NY; ethical troll

The state of New York presented Richard P. Urda with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from the Albany Law School

The Third Judicial Department Committee on Professional Standards found Dick guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to comply with rules governing representation of clients in domestic relations matters
• Failed to enter into written retainer agreement with client
• Failed to provide his client with a statement of client's rights and responsibilities
• Failed to bill his client at least every 60 days during the course of his representation
• Used information to the detriment of his client
• Engaged in a conflict of interest

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Professional Standards Committee punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2018), Dick practices at 408 North Tioga Street in Ithaca, Albany.
