Attorney Julie Bruggeman of Ada, MN; ethical goblin

The state of North Dakota presented Julie L. Bruggeman with a law license in 2012 after she graduated from the William Mitchell College of Law .

The Disciplinary Board charged Julie with engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Violated court order to attend trial with client (Up yours, said Julie to the Judge!)
• Trial court found Julie in contempt for not appearing at trial
• Trial court ordered Julie to pay her client $3,419 to purge the contempt
• Failed to secure needed documents on client’s behalf
• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to consult with client on significant events
• Failed to properly withdraw as counsel
• Failed to insure client’s interests were not harmed

As a consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the North Dakota Supreme Court punished Julie by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. June 2018), Julie practices at 402 East Third Street in Ada, Minnesota.
