Attorney Garland Watlington of Jonesboro, AR; ethical dwarf, repeat offender

 

The state of Arkansas presented Garland L. Watlington with a law license in 1995 after he graduated from the University of Arkansas Law School.

 

The Committee on Professional found Garland guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Garland’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to maintain estate funds in client trust account
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to promptly deliver funds owing to client and third party medical providers
  • Failed to provide client with written statement stating outcome of matter and showing amount remitted to the client and the method of its determination upon completion of a contingent fee matter

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Garland by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and a $7,500 fine.

 

Garland’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to deposit client funds in identifiable trust account
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Garland by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and a $1,000 fine.

 

As we speak (ca. January 2019), Garland practices at 603 Southwest Drive in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
