Attorney Scott Upham of Portland, OR; ethical troll

The state of Oregon presented Donald Scott Upham with a law license in 1976 after he graduated from South Texas University Law School.

The Oregon State Bar is investigating Scottie for engaging in the following misconduct.

It should be noted that for at least 16 years in the 1980s and 1990s that Scottie had worked as the Washington County District Attorney in Hillsboro, Oregon.

In one matter, Scottie abruptly left courtroom at beginning of the trial of Dylan Todd Sullivan, a basketball coach and former substitute teaching who was facing felony charges of luring a minor, sex abuse and related accusations. (Mike Rogoway, The Oregonian)

In addition to the above matter, Scottie is being investigated for taking actions he took in a client’s case without the client’s permission, his attempt to collect unauthorized legal fees and his refusal to provide the client with his file.

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Scottie by the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. May 2018), Scottie practices at 3906 SW Altadena Avenue in Portland, Oregon.
