Former Judge Conrad Rushing of San Jose; serial pervert

The state of California presented Conrad Lee Rushing with a law license in 1964 after she graduated from the University of California Berkeley Law School.

It should be noted that Conrad had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for thirty-nine years (1978 thru 2017).

Former Gov. Gray Davis was duped into appointing Conrad as a judge on the First District Court of Appeal in 2002. Conrad didn’t get the appointment because he was the most qualified lawyer or judge in the San Jose area. He got it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

In one matter, the Sacramento law firm of Ellis Buehler Makus was hired by the Six District Court of Appeal to investigate allegations that Conrad engaged in sexual harassment and workplace improprieties during his tenure an appellate judge in San Jose. That investigation led to the following findings.

• Gave men on his staff better assignments than female attorneys
• Commented regularly on women’s appearances, attire and bodies
• Asked women lawyers to pack personal items in his apartment before it was fumigated
• Viewed nude photos of women while in his chambers
• Engaged in sexual conduct while at work
• Commented on the length of a female attorney’s legs
• Asked employees to perform personal errands for him
• Remarked in a derogatory manner about Portuguese-Americans and other groups on the basis of their ethnicity, national origin or religion

All that remains now is see what if any punishment is meted out to Conrad by the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the California Judicial Commission.

Rather than wait for a ruling by the Judicial Commission, Conrad took the coward’s way out by resigning from the bench.
