Judge Pamela Johnson of Baton Rouge, LA; ethical goblin

The state of Louisiana presented Pamela Taylor Johnson with a law license in 1998 after she graduated from the University of Lousiana Law School.

The Judiciary Commission of Louisiana found Pam guilty of engaging the following misconduct.

  • Prepared an application for a juvenile drug court planning grant and listed certain persons (such as another judge, the district attorney, and the sheriff) as stakeholders, without first obtaining their permission
  • Authorized certain court personnel to attend educational seminars that were either unrelated or marginally related to their job positions

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Pam by gifting her with a complimentary censure and ordered to pay $4,582 in costs associated with the investigation.

As we speak (ca. May 2018), Pam continues to sit as a 19th Judicial District Court judge in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
