Judge Carlia Brady of New Brunswick, NJ; ethical goblin

The state of New Jersey presented Carlia Magpantay Brady with a law license in 2004 after he graduated from Seton Hall University Law School.

Gov. Chris Christie was duped into appointing Carlia as a Superior Court judge in February 2013. Carlia didn’t get the appointment because she was the most qualified attorney in the

The State Bar Court has charged Carlia with engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place while she was employed by the Solano County District Attorney’s Office.

Shortly after ascending to the bench in 2013, Carlia was criminally charged with helping her fugitive ex-boyfriend. Carlia was alleged to have helped her then-boyfriend, Jason Prontnicki to avoid being arrested after an armed robbery occurred of an Old Bridge pharmacy.

In early March 2018, the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office moved to get the charges of hindering against Carlia dismissed, and Superior Court Judge Robert Reed approved the motion.

However, the New Jersey Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct is now investigating Carlia’s conduct in this matter. Therefore, all that remains is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Carlia by the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. May 2018), Carlia continues to sit as a Vicinage 8 Superior Court judge in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
