Attorney Chris Covert of Columbia City, OR; ethical troll

The state of Oregon provided Chris Covert with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from Northwestern University Law School.

The Oregon State Bar found Chris guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to obtain court approval to withdraw client representation in bankruptcy matter
• Engaged in conflict of interest in his representation of the debtor and creditor in same matter
• Failed to obtain consent of clients to dual representation as to conflicting interests

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Freddy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.  

As we speak (ca. May 2018) Chris practices in Columbia City, Oregon.
