Attorney Tonya Wales of Durango, CO; Dumbo, loser

The state of Colorado provided Tonya Johnson Wales with a law license in 2003 after she graduated from Southern Methodist University Law School.

The Colorado State Bar found Tonya guilty of the following misconduct.

• Recklessly failed to competently represent clients (Dumbo)
• Failed to answer dispositive motions on behalf of clients
• Failed to notify clients she had ceased prosecuting their case
• Clients’ claims dismissed with prejudice (barred from ever pursing claims in future)
• Clients were subject of several orders to pay attorney fees and costs lodged against them by the trial court
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Tonya by gifting her with a complimentary 60-day suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. May 2018), Tonya practices at 135 Burnett Drive in Durango, Colorado.
