Attorney Patrick Kennelly of New Zealand; serial offender

The New Zealand Law Society presented Patrick James Kennelly with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from the University of Auckland Law School.

The Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal found Diane guilty of the following misconduct.   

Patty’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to comply with trust account rules and regulations
• Engaged in unsatisfactory conduct

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Tribunal punished Patty by gifting him with a complimentary $750 and ordered to pay costs.

Patty’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to comply with trust account rules and regulations
• Engaged in unsatisfactory conduct
• Failed to undertake and complete a Trust Account Supervisor Training Program

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Tribunal punished Patty by gifting him with a complimentary $4,000 fine and ordered to pay costs of $1.000.

Patty’s 3^rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
• Failed to provide competent representation (Dumbo)
• Negligent in representation of client
• Failed to properly manage trust account

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Tribunal punished Patty by gifting him with a complimentary censure, fined $15,000 and ordered to pay costs of $17,575.
