Attorney Mark Pittman of Cordova, TN; thief, repeat offender

The state of Tennessee presented Mark Lee Pittman with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from the University of Memphis Law School.

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility found Mark guilty of the following misconduct.

Mark’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Grossly neglected two client matters
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Engaged in a pattern of falsifying status of his clients’ matters to hide his neglect
• Failed to properly communicate with his clients

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

Mark’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Over 20 clients filed complaints against Mark
• Engaged in pattern of neglect of client matters
• Knowingly failed to return unearned fees (thief)
• Lied to clients re: location of their files
• Knowingly made false statements of fact to Disciplinary Board (Screw you, said Mark!)
• Failed to return client files upon termination
• Deceived clients re: status of their legal matters
• Intentionally violated requirements of Supreme Court order that temporarily suspended his law license (Up yours, said Mark!)
• Refused to withdraw in cases after his license was temporarily suspended
• Received/retained fees despite performing no client services

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary 8-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. August 2018), Mark practices at 8111 Walnut Run Road in Cordova, Tennessee.
