Sen. Chuck Grassley: 2018 Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Oscar
FYI: Jean Hersholt Award is presented for an individual’s outstanding contributions to humanitarian causes. Jean Hersholt was a screen actor of Danish descent who served as president of the Motion Picture Relief Fund for 18 years.
Past winners of the Award are Bob Hope, Gregory Peck, Harry Belafonte, Angelina Jolie, Debbie Reynolds, Jerry Lewis, Paul Newman and Oprah Winfrey.
And the 2018 Oscar goes to:
Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA)
The issue that cemented Chuckie’s win was his adamant nonsupport of eliminating the estate tax by attacking low income folks who he claimed waste their money on booze, women or movies rather than investing in the stock market.
FYI:Chuckie has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for the past fifty-nine years (ca. 1959 to 2018). Apparently, Chuckie as unable to successfully apply for a job working the production line at one of Iowa’s numerous meat packing plants.
It should be remembered that Chuckie was famous for proving his worth as one of America’s Heroic Humanitarians when he falsely claimed that Obamacare would allow the federal government “to pull the plug on Grandma.”
And lastly, since Chuckie is eighty-five years old (DOB 1933), its about time Iowans told him to take a hike (pull the plug so to speak) and have him apply for a job as a greeter at the Walmart Supercenter on 4th Street in Waverly, Iowa.
This isn’t the first Award presented to Chuckie. In the past, he has been the recipient of thirteen (13) Awards, which are listed below.
