Attorney Stephanie Williams of Nashville; ethical goblin

The state of Tennessee provided Stephanie Janet Williams with a law license in 2004 after she graduated from the University of Tennessee Law School.

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility Stephanie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Neglected client matter entrusted to her
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Failed to expedite client litigation
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Violated or attempted to violate Rules of Conduct or knowingly assisted or induced another to do so or did so through the acts of another

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Stephanie by gifting her with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of her law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Stephanie.

As we speak (ca. April 2019) Stephanie practices at 1 Public Square in Nashville, Tennessee.
