Attorney Mary Thompson of Denver; thieving liar

The state of Colorado provided Mary Jaclyn Thompson with a law license in 2014 after she graduated from the University of Denver Law School.

The Colorado Disciplinary Counsel found Mary guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Knowingly made false statement of material fact to third person
• Inflated the number of hours she worked for law firm
• Falsified entries on her timesheets
• Fabricated nearly $40,000 for time she had not worked

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Mary by gifting her with a complimentary 9-month suspension of her law license.
