Attorney Lisa Stevens of Monument, CO; ethical gremlin

The state of Colorado provided Lisa Welch Stevens with a law license in 1997 after she graduated from the University of Denver Law School.

The Colorado Disciplinary Counsel found Lisa guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to abide by client decisions re: objectives of case
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Failed to comply with client information requests
  • Failed to consult with client re: means to achieve client objectives
  • Engaged in a conflict of interest

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Lisa by gifting her with a complimentary stayed 6-month suspension of her law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court didn’t really mete out any meaningful punishment to Lisa the Deadbeat.

As we speak (ca. August 2018) Lisa practices in Monument, Colorado.
