Attorney Nathan Vnderhoofven of Denver; Dumbo

The state of Colorado provided Nathan Derek Vnderhoofven with a law license in 2005 after he graduated from the University of Denver Law School.

The Colorado Disciplinary Counsel found Nate guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to inform client in writing about his fees and expenses within a reasonable time after being retained
• Improperly charged nonrefundable fee
• Failed to protect client interests upon termination
• Failed to return client papers upon termination
• Failed to provide competent representation (Dumbo)
• Failed to properly supervise office staff
• Shared legal fees with a nonlawyer
• Assisted nonlawyer in the illegal practice of law

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Nate by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. August 2018) Nate practices with the Vnderhoofven Law Firm LLC at 3570 East 12^th Avenue in Denver, Colorado.
